What does a facelift address?
A facelift addresses selected sagging and loss of definition. It does not stop ageing or treat every change in skin, eyelids or facial volume. The surgeon assesses which structures contribute to your concern before recommending a plan.
Look beyond technique names
Ask what will be repositioned, where scars will sit and whether the neck is included. Discussions about deeper tissue techniques should explain their relevance to your anatomy, not present a fashionable name as a guarantee. Photos of other patients cannot predict your outcome.
Recovery needs practical planning
Arrange support during early recovery and enough flexibility for follow-up. Swelling, bruising and temporary sensory changes may affect daily activities. Bleeding, infection, healing problems and nerve injury are among the risks to discuss. Your surgeon sets activity and travel restrictions according to your progress.
Prepare for the decision
Write down what you hope will change and what you want to preserve. Ask about alternatives, the option of postponing and the expected overall cost. A considered consultation in Amman gives you space to assess the proposal before committing to surgery or travel.
Common questions
Is a facelift permanent?
Surgery changes the tissues but ageing continues. Duration and future changes vary with anatomy, healing and other factors.
