Implant type, size, placement and incision are individual decisions. Fat transfer has different volume limits and may require more than one session.

The aim is proportionate volume. Implants are not lifetime devices; further procedures may be needed over time.

Time for recovery
Swelling, tightness and activity restrictions are expected early on. A support garment may be recommended. Discuss ongoing implant surveillance.

An informed decision
Risks include capsular contracture, rupture, infection, sensation changes and reoperation. Rare implant-associated cancers and device-specific risks must be discussed.
